Ingredients:
For the bread:
1¼ cups almond flour
3 egg whites
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sea salt
2 tsp. cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
1 cup boiling water
5 tbsp. ground psyllium husk powder
For the garlic butter
4 oz. butter, at room temperature
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
Directions:
- Benefiting from snacks each day is one means of maintaining the keto diet. To make this garlic bread, start with pre-heating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and mixing the dry ingredients together using a bowl.
- Boil water and add this, the vinegar and egg whites to the bowl, while whisking, use a hand mixer at about 50%for a minute. Don’t overmix the dough and it shouldresemble the texture and smoothness of Play-Doh.
- Wash your hands and form 10 pieces. Roll into hotdog bun-shaped chunks. Be sure to leave enough space between them as you lay them down on the baking sheet so they have room for expansion.
- Bake on the lower rack in oven for 50 minutes, and you will know they are done when you hear an empty sound as you tap the underside of the bun.
- While baking, make the garlic butter. Mix together all the ingredients for the garlic butter and put it aside in your refrigerator.
- Release the buns out from the oven and leave it aside to cool. Take the garlic butter off the fridge and when the buns are cooled, cut them into halves and spread garlic butter on each half.
- Set the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the garlic bread for about 15 minutes, until golden brown in color. Now, it’s ready.
